In 2013, as a surgical scrub nurse from Ohio, Diane Lyons recognized the need for a more efficient and safer way to organize instruments on the surgical field other than the commonly used rolled towel. A prototype was developed, and input was received from surgical personnel from over 150 hospitals. Diane worked closely with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure that the product met all regulatory requirements.
